All sessions are provided by our experienced Strength & Conditioning Staff. We ensure that the programs and progress of all athletes are catered to their developmental age and training experience. All Training Programs include aspects of movement preparation ("warm up"), injury prevention, speed/agility/quickness, plyometrics, power, strength, functional core training, and conditioning (based on the athlete's current season).
GIRLS HOCKEY SUMMER S&C

Time to take your on-ice performance to the next level for the 2024-2025 hockey season. These dedicated training times will be coached by our Gryphon Performance Academy staff and focus on elements of speed, power, change of direction, total body strength and much more. Sessions will be divided based on age group, with the older group (age 16-21) starting at 6pm and the younger group (age 12-15) starting at 7pm every Tuesday and Thursday. Sessions run in packs of 8 with the option to continue each month or start fresh at the top of each month
Whether you're a junior Gryphon or an athlete from out of town, we welcome all girls who want to get better this offseason.

Boys Hockey Summer S&C
This is a limited time specialty training offer. Register today so you don't miss out!
Calling all boys hockey athletes from GMHA and surrounding organizations. If you're looking to get stronger, faster, more explosive and more fit this summer, this is the group for you. Programming will be hosted in the Gryphon Performance Centre with our talented S&C coaches. Sessions will run Mondays and Wednesday from July 3 - Aug 14. Sessions run for 3 week blocks in packs of 6 (July 3 - 22 and July 24 - Aug 14 *excludes Aug 5 per the holiday).
The older group (15-18 years old) will run 1:00-2:00pm, while the younger group (12-14) will run 7:00-8:00pm. See below to sign up and take your game to the next level for the 2024-2025 season.

Summer High Performance development CAMP

Enter High Performance Development Camp
This week long camp is for the dedicated youth athlete that wants to learn more about the methods behind athletic development and how to train, conditioning, fuel, and prepare for your sport.
July 29 - Aug 2, 2024. Camp runs half-days from 11am-3pm
Physical Education Class Training
These sessions are available to Phys-Ed classes as part of their fitness curriculum. Your class could come train and learn from our Performance Coaches in the Gryphon Performance Centre or we could come to visit you at your school!
Enhancing physical activity education through sport
Improving the execution of physical education to local school boards, high schools and PE classes.
GPA coaches will conduct interactive and experiential sessions to enhance the knowledge on PE assessment programming and how to apply the Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model to the existing curriculum.
Local PE and health classes can join GPA for a class-long interactive session or even a full day of learning with our GPA coaches.

Education Workshops
These sessions are available for sports coaches, teachers, or parents that want to learn more about Athletic Performance. Topics range from nutrition for performance, recovery methods, periodization, exercise technique, conditioning, speed, agility & quickness.

Performance Testing
Our GPA coaches will conduct a battery of tests chosen for sport competition level, relevance to sport performance, and previous training history. This testing will allow for the identification of key performance limiters.
